Like a yogi, a snake hoards nothing, carries nothing, builds nothing, lives on air alone for a long time, and lives in mountains and forests. The venom of a snake, therefore, symbolizes the yogic power. Linga, the emblem of Shiva is the main form worshipped in Shiva temples.

Details:
This idol is made from panch dhatu (five metals) and has a protective coating to prevent it from tarnishing.this is the symbole of shiva.

Maintenance:
Keep it free from dust. Clean it by curd , lime or even with periodically with Brasso/Pitambari powder(i.e.if the dust acumalates on it).
